The most wealthy person in the world, Jeff Bezos, says he prioritizes getting at least 8 hours of sleep every single night. Another example would be the co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates who says he needs at least 7 hours of sleep every single night to stay sharp and fit. Even Elon Musk, who says he is constantly working 80 to 100 hours every week gets at least 6.5 hours of sleep. 

Working from home might help you to get the sleep you need. You are in charge of time you wake up and get to bed so make the best of it. Get as much sleep as you need, even it means waking up at noon. You still have enough time to work and be productive.

If you cut sleep for whatever reason I’d recommend taking power nap or even more than one  during the day for at least 15 to 25 minutes. It will help you to recharge and stay more focused. I’d also say you should always get a minimum of 6 hours of sleep every single night.

Reduced stress

Working from home could help you significantly reduce stress and to be more relaxed during the day. You can meditate more easily while working from home which gives you a sharp edge to be more productive. Power nap is possibility now any time you choose so as the bed is just steps away. Just make sure you don’t spend more time in bed than being productive.

I love taking naps during the day as it helps me significantly to stay sharp and more focused on work I have to do. I even take multiple naps during the day. I’d recommend knowing what you are going to do once you wake up as that will help you to get off the bed and not stay there all day long. 

Better eating habits

Once you start working from home you get the opportunity to cook fresh food and meals whenever you need to eat. That will make sure that you are healthy and your body will reward you with more energy. There’s nothing more important than nutrient food that will nourish you throughout the whole day. The energy and health benefits you get are very much needed. 

I’d recommend buying fresh food and cook for a few days so you don’t have to do that every single day. You don’t want to spend too much time cooking. You wouldn’t have enough time to be productive during the day. Just prepare meals for a few days ahead of time and simply reheat them each time you get hungry during the day.

Staying more fit as the health benefits of working from home

Having the ability to work from home will allow you to exercise anytime you want. You can even go to the gym during the day if you want to push yourself harder. However, it may be enough to just do some home workout routine. You can buy basic equipment like dumbells, bench, pull-up bar, resistance bands and other necessities that can help you stay in shape and fit. 

Let’s look at some simple exercises that you can do from the comfort of your home:

For me personally the best advantage of working online. You simply finish working when you are done. You don’t get paid for time spent in an office anymore. You get paid for results no matter how much time you spend working each day. You no longer have to stay locked in an office watching the clock hit the end of your shift.

While working from home I’d recommend focusing on work and get it done as quick as possible so you can enjoy life. Do things that you love, spend time with your friends and family. Don’t just spend 8 hours every single day because someone is paying you per hour. Get paid per results. 

Be around the people you love

Do you remember the co-worker that would always bother you in an office while you wanted to get work done and simply be productive? The worst thing about it is that you can’t do anything about it. You have no control over your work environment. 

Working from home can be a great solution to be around the people you want to be around. You make a choice who you want to meet. Be that your family or friends. It’s now your choice.

Having the ability to work from home can give you a much better focus on what you need to do. You create your own environment. That means you can set cues that will help you be more focused while working from home. 

 I’d recommend making your desk and room super clean and fresh. It will help you stay more focused. Also, have space where you just work and don’t do anything else there. No social media, fun, Netflix. It’s just space where you get work done. 

Then set another space where you have just fun and do other things unrelated to work. And the most important thing is to use your bed only for sleep and sex, not for work. Don’t bring your laptop there.

Take break whenever you need

Probably the biggest health benefit of working from home. Taking breaks is as important as the work you do. We, as humans, can only focus for a certain period of time. Everyone has probably a different time frame for as long as they can focus. And if you want to improve your focus you should start meditating as that helps extend the length of it. 

I’d recommend 50 to 60 minutes of focused work and afterward taking at least 15 to 25 minutes break. The different settings from an office environment right? Take your breaks seriously, do something relaxing, meditate, nap, cook, eat, anything that will get you off work and recharge for an upcoming task. 

No more traffic or crowded subway

As someone living in New York City, I hate the crowded subway more than anything and the people that use it are not always healthy so it’s easy to get sick. So the health benefit of working from home is tremendous. You will avoid places and situations that would make you more stressed or even sick.

Sitting in a car for hours because of traffic is a nightmare. You can simply avoid it by working online from home. It will save a lot of time every single day that you can spend with family or people you love. Your stress levels will go down a lot. The health benefit of working from home is very important in this case. 

Wearing whatever you want

Having the ability to wear whatever you feel like wearing is a very important factor when it comes to your health. Once you work from home and online you’ll have the option to do just that. Wear what makes you comfortable and more productive. 

I actually recommend wearing the most suitable clothes you have, so you can perform at your best, even at home. Don’t just wear pajamas all day long. That wouldn’t probably help you to be more productive. Having the option to wear whatever you want can definitely have health benefits as you don’t have to address some dress code as you would in an office environment.
